About The Position

HYVE Solutions is seeking an Automation Robotics Engineer to research, design, and develop automated robotic systems for server and rack handling, maintenance, and deployment. This role involves creating prototypes, conducting feasibility assessments, and developing rack integration automation, including robotic cable management and heavy-lift assist systems. The engineer will integrate Vision Systems for component verification and barcode/QR code scanning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotic solutions into existing data center infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing robotic arms, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), and assembly fixtures, connecting automation equipment to the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and installing/testing new automated lines. The role also requires installing, calibrating, operating, and maintaining robotic equipment, creating documentation, staying current with advancements in robotics and automation, managing the automation development process, conducting quality control tests, troubleshooting, and programming robots.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or mechatronics.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with hardware components, sensors, and CAD software for mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, including manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • The ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Nice To Haves
