About The Position

Under the guidance of the Production Manager, and a member of the Production Team, this role is primarily focused on Automation support. This includes fulfilling incoming linear rail orders by means of tracking material inventory, cutting material, deburring, cleaning, assembling, and packaging per established standard processes. The position is also responsible for assisting with other in-house automation production needs on a case-by-case basis. These products are to be completed to acceptance test procedures and routing operations. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. The role contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • One-year related experience including assembly, soldering, and blueprint reading/training.
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain linear rail inventory through Tribute system.
  • Work with inside Sales and Engineering as needed.
  • Cutting Linear Ball Rail.
  • Deburring, cleaning, assembling, and packaging product per the established standard processes.
  • Assisting in other Automation production needs.
  • Fabricate Parts: Position and assemble parts according to special instructions, routings, and blueprints.
  • Measure parts to specified tolerances.
  • Deburrs, grinds, and buffs parts.
  • Operate pneumatic tools, and hand tools to aid in assembly.
  • Write special instructions for assembly of products per blueprint.
  • Bend tubes to customer specifications from ¼” up to 1 ¼”.
  • Welding of brackets, tubes, and beams, fill holes, and check for leaks once completed.
  • Inspect Parts: Inspect all parts for cleanliness and flaws. If flaws exist, completes Nonconforming Material Report.
  • Receive parts for each job from stock room.
  • Send assembled products to test and/or quality assurance final inspection.
  • Repair nonconforming products.
  • Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as required.
  • Return all unused parts to stock.
  • Assembly: Record time on labor sheets for each process of assembly.
  • Pipe fitting.
  • Receive job package consisting of final card, special instructions, blueprint, and acceptance test procedures for each job.
  • Send assembled products to test and/or quality assurance final inspection.
  • Operate pneumatic tools, and hand tools to aid in assembly.
  • Use chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks, as required.
  • Keep assembly department clean and free of foreign object damage.
  • Keep production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
  • Clerical/General Administrative: Respond to routine emails, phone calls, etc.
  • Make copies, print documents, etc.
  • File paperwork.
