About The Position

The Airframes Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the exterior aircraft structure and airframe system components for the Customer.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Level I - Four years’ previous experience in aircraft repair.
Completion of one or more NAMTGD or equivalent OMA maintenance courses.
Experience performing structural repair utilizing sheet metal, fiberglass, and composite materials.
Thorough knowledge of corrosion control and aircraft painting techniques.
Knowledge of naval maintenance publications, maintenance requirement cards, and the ability to document maintenance utilizing the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Information System (NALCOMIS).

A comprehensive background in maintenance practices.
Fully developed technical skills and experience relevant to their areas of responsibility.
Proficiency in researching, reading, and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and applicable directives.
Strong technical writing abilities, with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy.
A commitment to promoting operational stability and excellence in performance.
A high level of motivation and a personal drive to continually expand their technical knowledge and expertise.
An observant, alert, and inquisitive disposition.
The ability to collaborate effectively and work well with others.

Inspects, maintains, repairs, and services aircraft structure, hydraulic, pneumatic and airframe system components.
Performs hourly, calendar, phase, and conditional inspections as required by maintenance requirement cards.
Troubleshoots airframe, flight control, and landing gear systems.
Uses color-coded charts of aircraft piping and lines.
Reads schematic diagrams, shop sketches, clue prints and interpret applicable technical data.
Use of power tools and precision measuring devices in the maintenance and repair of aircraft.
