About The Position

The Automation Process Controller supports and oversees production operations within an automated warehouse. The role monitors warehouse processes for accuracy and efficiency, helps ensure optimal product flow to meet operational throughput, and responds to system downtime through improvement plans. It also participates in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex control system issues. Occasional business travel may be required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in an automated warehouse facility.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and experience with WMS software features.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and process issues.
• Experience with PLC programming and conveyor control systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with warehouse operations, including inventory management.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and Windows Server administration.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to adapt to ambiguity and changing priorities.
• Experience developing best practices for productivity in automated warehouse operations.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general production support for automated warehouse operations.
• Virtually monitor warehouse processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time completion.
• Ensure optimal product flow to meet operational throughput requirements.
• Monitor system downtime and implement improvement plans to reduce downtime.
• Maximize use of system capacity by identifying and mitigating systematic bottlenecks.
• Participate in troubleshooting events and conduct root cause analysis for control system-related issues.
• Collaborate with the control team to develop best practices for increased productivity in automated warehouse operations.
• Perform other essential duties as applicable and assigned.
