About The Position

We are a leading global eye health company expanding our team of Electro-Mechanical Technicians. This role involves partnering with Operations technicians and Engineers in a cross-functional setting to reduce downtime and boost output. You will troubleshoot, repair, and document machine issues, diagnose PLC and HMI control system software, execute and record preventative maintenance activities, and communicate equipment status across shifts. Support for offline machine rebuilds and prep work may also be required. A 12-hour rotational shift schedule is mandatory, with minimal travel potentially required for equipment build/integration or training. You will support plant manufacturing equipment systems under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years as a technician performing equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to work Bausch + Lomb twelve hour rotational shift schedule is required.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and advanced troubleshooting ability.
  • Proficiencies: Equipment troubleshooting, Electrical schematics, Mechanical troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Motor replacement/repair/maintenance, Hydraulics, Electrical/Electronic systems, High School / GED, Excellent communication, Shop math, Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical apprenticeship or Associate degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • Experience with documentation in medical device or other regulated industries is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
  • Understanding of cGMP and experience in clean room environments preferred.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience desirable.
  • Robotics and motion: program/troubleshoot SCARA, FANUC, Staubli, IAI, and servo systems desirable.
  • Injection molding (electric and hydraulic) exposure desirable.

Responsibilities
