Immediate Opening for Automation & Maintenance Technician
About The Position
TFT Global (USA) Inc. is looking for an Automation & Maintenance Technician to support their Brookville operation. This role is a great opportunity for a technically minded professional who wants to work with both traditional mechanical equipment and modern automation, including AMRs, autonomous forklifts, robots, and material automation systems. In this role, you'll help keep our equipment and automation systems safe, reliable, and operational. This isn't just a traditional maintenance position. You'll have an opportunity to work directly with growing automation technology while using your mechanical expertise to make a measurable impact on equipment reliability, productivity, and continuous improvement. The position works across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and automation suppliers, giving you exposure to multiple areas of the operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED; related college or university education is an asset
- At least 2 years of relevant maintenance, manufacturing, automation, or technical experience
- Experience with AMRs, autonomous forklifts, robots, or material automation technology
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment
- Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to work varying shifts based on operational needs
Nice To Haves
- Experience with pneumatics, welding, fleet-management or automation software, and forklift operation is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain mechanical and automated equipment
- Support AMRs, autonomous forklifts, robots, and other automation technology
- Respond to equipment faults and help minimize operational downtime
- Perform preventive maintenance and support corrective actions
- Identify recurring problems, determine root causes, and help implement improvements
- Perform basic sensor calibration and equipment adjustments
- Support the installation and rollout of new automation projects
- Monitor equipment and automation performance to identify improvement opportunities
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and automation suppliers
- Help train operators on basic automation procedures, equipment checks, resets, and safe interaction with automated equipment
