As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. In this position, you will have oversight over maintenance and engineering operations, optimizing the assembly process through the collaboration of skilled trades work groups.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One or more years of technical work experience and troubleshooting in a Manufacturing or an OEM Tooling environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Controls or Robotics Engineering
  • Technical certification in Robot / Automation and Controls
  • Three or more years of automotive experience
  • One or more years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Validated experience managing a unionized work force
  • Demonstrated skill with automotive controls and robotics

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production controls systems and associated systems
  • Conduct root cause analysis of downtime issues to prevent recurrence (4D process)
  • Analyze equipment performance and work to improve efficiencies; actively participate in Constraint Review Process
  • Lead oversight of controls and automation to include: Indirect supervision of electrical trades and electrical technicians supporting production and facilities operations.
  • Robot, Automation and controls changes associated with process tooling and equipment. Includes programming and logic changes.
  • Work with ME/PE to launch new programs or equipment, optimize Automation and Controls systems for process tooling
  • Provide input to MPS for weekend and shutdown maintenance planning
  • Work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
  • Work collaboratively with Skilled Trades to create modern solutions and pursue new technologies
