About The Position

Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Automation Engineer to their Peoria team! This role involves the design, installation, commissioning, and testing of instrumentation & control systems (SCADA). The engineer will collaborate with internal departments such as information technology, engineering, and operations, and will provide project management, team management, and quality control throughout project phases. Responsibilities include providing instrumentation & control design services for water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related facilities. The role requires onsite work for municipal clients, including instrumentation configuration, installation assistance, and control system and process start-up/testing. The position also includes on-call duties rotating weekly for troubleshooting instrumentation/control issues.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer performing design, programming, installation and startup tasks
  • Programming experience using PLCs, SCADA, and OITs software
  • Experience using various products (Concentric Integration primarily include Allen-Bradley SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, PanelView, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX, Inductive Automation Ignition, Wonderware System Platform, InTouch, and other hardware/software)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Auto CAD/Visio experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide instrumentation & control design services for water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related facilities
  • Onsite work for municipal clients (instrumentation configuration, installation assistance, and control system and process start-up/testing)
  • On-call 24/7 (rotate weekly) to troubleshoot instrumentation/control issues
