About The Position

Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Automation Engineer to their Naperville team! This role is responsible for the design, installation, commissioning and testing process, and instrumentation & control systems (SCADA). The Automation Engineer will collaborate with internal departments including information technology, engineering, and operations. This position will also provide project management, manage teams, and ensure quality control during all phases of project. Responsibilities include providing instrumentation & control design services for water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related facilities. Onsite work for municipal clients is required for instrumentation configuration, installation assistance, and control system and process start-up/testing. The role also includes on-call 24/7 rotation (weekly) to troubleshoot instrumentation/control issues.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer performing design, programming, installation and startup tasks
  • Programming experience using PLCs, SCADA, and OITs software
  • Experience using various products (Concentric Integration primarily include Allen-Bradley SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, PanelView, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX, Inductive Automation Ignition, Wonderware System Platform, InTouch, and other hardware/software)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Auto CAD/Visio experience preferred
