About The Position

An Automation Engineer is an entry-level engineering professional who develops foundational skills while supporting the delivery and deployment of industrial control and information systems through project engineering and automation technical services.

Requirements

  • Basic experience with electrical, computer, and electronic equipment.
  • Elementary knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, motor controls, and relay theory.
  • Basic understanding of industrial controllers, computers, and networking equipment.
  • Awareness of project implementation and quality management practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to learn technology and contribute to practical team solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize assigned work and collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated initiative in building knowledge and skills.
  • Engineering or Technology B.S. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Manufacturing or a related technical field; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.

  • Exposure to control and information systems used in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform defined design and development tasks for industrial control and data applications under guidance.
  • Develop project technical documentation as directed.
  • Participate on site installation and commissioning teams.
  • Provide field service and site engineering support as assigned.
  • Develop applications in accordance with established best practices and system safety conventions.
  • Execute test protocols and document results.
  • Participate in design reviews and deliverable approvals.
  • Work within assigned budgets, schedules, and scope.
  • Seek guidance, communicate progress, and incorporate feedback.
  • Build familiarity with ECS project methods, tools, and standards.
  • Travel as requested for commissioning, field service, and other site engineering activities.
