About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Automation Engineer to design, develop, optimize, and support automated systems and mechatronic solutions used in our production facility. The ideal candidate will have a background in robotics, control systems, and electromechanical systems, with a passion for creating efficient, reliable, and cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience designing, building, troubleshooting, or supporting automated equipment, manufacturing systems, test equipment, or industrial machinery.
  • Experience working with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including: 24 VDC control systems, Single-phase and three-phase power distribution, Motor controls, VFDs, relays, contactors, and safety circuits.
  • Working knowledge of: Sensors (photoelectric, inductive, capacitive, laser, vision, etc.), Motors, actuators, servos, pneumatics, and motion control systems, Incremental and absolute encoders, Industrial communication networks and protocols.
  • Experience with mechanical machine design and drafting using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Moderate programming experience in at least two of the following: PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), .NET (C#, VB.NET), Python, C/C++, LabVIEW.
  • Ability to read and interpret: Electrical schematics, Mechanical drawings, Pneumatic diagrams, Control system documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, software, and controls disciplines.
  • Hands-on engineer who enjoys solving problems on the production floor.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working directly with operators, technicians, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and apply them to improve manufacturing processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading projects from concept through implementation is preferred.
  • Manufacturing or industrial automation experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with robotics, machine vision, PLCs, HMIs, and automated assembly systems is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize, and support automated systems and mechatronic solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and support automated equipment, manufacturing systems, test equipment, or industrial machinery.
  • Work with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
  • Lead projects from concept through implementation.
  • Design machine components, fixtures, tooling, automated equipment, guarding, and production machinery for manufacturing environments.
  • Program PLCs, .NET, Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Perform troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, software, and controls disciplines.
  • Solve problems on the production floor.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communicate and collaborate with operators, technicians, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams.
  • Learn new technologies and apply them to improve manufacturing processes.
