About The Position
The Automation Engineer designs, programs, simulates, and tests automated technology and processes to carry out specific tasks. The role is responsible for preparing detailed design specifications and other documents during the creation process. The position is onsite in NY or MPK for a 12-month duration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work as a team player and attention to detail.
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
- Ability to perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
- Ability to apply principles of automated theory to engineering projects.
- Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test the manufacture of automated equipment.
- Evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability, and safety of design models.
- Estimate the time and cost required to complete projects.
- Simulate and test the operation of machines, structures, and systems.
- Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products.
