About The Position

We are seeking an experienced automation engineer for the management of system infrastructure and applications. As an automation engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement automation solutions, maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the smooth deployment and management of our infrastructure and applications. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevSecOps skills while supporting the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

  • Experience with supporting DoW or government agencies
  • Experience with troubleshooting, triaging, or resolving automation issues using Ansible or PowerShell
  • Experience with automation tools including Ansible, version control systems including Git, operating systems including RHEL and Windows, and virtualization including VMware
  • Experience managing delivery and operating within a team structure that uses Agile development
  • Experience developing tools and processes to drive DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
  • Experience managing customer work product deliveries and directing a team in completion of those tasks
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
  • Experience with application containerization
  • Experience with modeling network configuration in JSON and YAML
  • Experience with network automation in Python and Ansible
  • Knowledge of networking principles and concepts
  • Knowledge of API design and object-oriented principles
  • Ability to meet DoW 8140 requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or cybersecurity
