About The Position

This is a Summer 2027 Internship position with a duration from Monday, May 17th to August 20th, 2027, located in Austin, TX. The program aims to provide interns with meaningful, hands-on experiences that contribute to business objectives while supporting their professional development. Interns will be assigned a project that delivers value to the business and are expected to apply Lean principles and continuous improvement thinking. The Automation Developer/Analyst will assist in identifying, developing, and maintaining new software automations that support business efficiencies and productivity gains. This includes analyzing business processes to identify those suitable for automation, as well as coding, testing, and analyzing software automations. The role also involves researching, designing, documenting, and modifying automation specifications throughout the production life cycle.   • Familiarity with automation (RPA) platforms and technologies including UiPath as well as HTML, JavaScript, CSS and SQL.
  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in assessing, recommending, and implementing improvements in business processes through the development of automations.
  • Gather and write requirements for automation enhancements.
  • Collaborate with analysts, programmers, system architects and database administrators in conceptualization and development of new automations.
  • Liaise with network administrators, business analysts, and other IT specialists to assist in resolving problems with automations or automation platforms.
  • Analyze and assess existing business automations and procedures.
  • Develop automations according to specifications.
  • Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of automations as necessary.
  • Design, run and monitor automations performance tests on new and existing automations for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
  • Fix bugs and respond to support tickets.
  • Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.
  • Conduct research on emerging automation development platforms, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Work with data and leverage it to find insights, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Coordinate with IT management to collect data for metrics reporting.
  • Conduct data analysis for various business initiatives.
  • Present findings to stakeholders in a concise and effective manner.
