The Automation Controls Engineer I is responsible for the creation, modification, and maintenance of programs for various systems including machines, robotics, and third-party integrations. This role involves assisting Checkout Technicians with factory testing and developing documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing among Controls Engineers, Checkout, and Service Technicians. A key aspect of the position is to review and troubleshoot customer field issues, providing viable solutions for quick resolution. The engineer will also contribute to projects aimed at improving the speed, capacity, reliability, functionality, and ease of operation of systems. Support for the Service Department in troubleshooting machines, both remotely and on-site, is also required. The individual must ensure that all programs adhere to a standardized and structured format for clarity and ease of understanding by colleagues and customers.
