About The Position

The Automatic Press Operator sets up and/or operates automatically fed machinery to support production strategies and goals, improve efficiency, and maximize company performance. The role seeks opportunities to improve production methods and works with team members to maintain a safe, organized workplace that meets facility standards and customer expectations. The position is located at 113 Hemlock St., Rome, GA 30161, and is scheduled for the first shift, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with opportunities for overtime pay.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a stamping manufacturing environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic mathematical concepts.
Ability to take and follow direction from management.
Willingness and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Must be willing to submit to a background check, employment verification, and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment efficiently while seeking improvements to production and quality.
Troubleshoot equipment errors, identify their causes, and seek ways to prevent recurrence.
Perform routine daily maintenance.
Monitor production to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Inspect parts during production and promptly address quality issues.
Perform setup and changeover processes efficiently.
Adjust feeds to produce high-quality parts while minimizing scrap.
Seek production methods that improve efficiency, safety, and quality while reducing costs.
Ensure production equipment is operated safely.
Keep equipment and the work area orderly and clean, leaving the area ready for the next operator at the end of the shift.
Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
