About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring safety and quality expectations are met or exceeded. The operator will inspect equipment before their shift, operate machinery according to manufacturer specifications and time budgets, and control/adjust machine settings as needed. They will also perform quality control by visually inspecting products for defects, reporting any issues to the supervisor, and maintaining the cleanliness of their workstation and equipment.

Requirements

• Skilled in working with computer-operated and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to safely lift/move up to 60 lbs.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools.
• Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish departmental goals and to improve operations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold).

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety First, Safety Always, and meet or exceed Quality expectations.
• Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start.
• Operate machinery to manufacturer’s specifications, meeting time budgets for finished product.
• Control and adjust machine settings as required.
• Perform Quality Control.
• Visually inspect product for defects prior to conveyance.
• Report defects to Supervisor.
• Follow reporting and record-keeping procedures, and report issues to Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and machine(s) utilized.
