About The Position

Piedmont Door Solutions, an esteemed brand of Cobalt Service Partners, provides pedestrian door and entrance solutions across the Southeast. The company is hiring an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician to support Columbia, South Carolina, and surrounding areas. Technicians work at customer locations, including commercial buildings, hospitals, and stores, to repair, maintain, and install doors and related entrance products. Piedmont Door Solutions provides the training, tools, equipment, and vehicles needed for the role.

Requirements

Possess an unrestricted and valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be comfortable using power tools and hand tools, personally or professionally.
Be able to stand, bend, and/or climb for long periods in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Be able to lift 75 or more pounds and work at heights or use a ladder.
Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Experience in residential or commercial doors, garage doors, construction, military, electrical work, fabrication, access control, glazing, carpentry, mechanical work, or installing or servicing products.
Preference for experience in carpentry, electrical work, military service, HVAC, or a similar field.

Responsibilities

Learn to install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products.
Take initiative and proactively assist with projects in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment.
Learn techniques from a trainer, build on existing skills, and demonstrate a desire to grow.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional worksite, with attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Solve problems for customers.
Order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.
