About The Position

The Automatic Door Service Technician services and repairs a variety of commercial and automatic doors, equipment, and control devices. The work includes repairs and replacements of ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, hollow metal and storefront doors, and automatic folding, swing, and sliding doors. The role also involves carpentry work, including partition framing with metal or wood studs and installation of doors and windows, as well as preventative maintenance and customer service.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as an automatic door installer or service technician.
Experience servicing commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, emergency exit devices, and preventative maintenance.
Carpentry skills, including partition framing with metal or wood studs and installation of doors and windows.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
A clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
Positive and professional attitude.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under time and other constraints.
Ability to work both in a team and independently.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

AAADM certification.
Experience with Horton, Stanley, Record USA, Besam, or Assa Abloy door manufacturers.

Responsibilities

Repair and replace ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, hollow metal and storefront doors, and automatic folding, swing, and sliding doors.
Service a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
Perform partition framing with metal or wood studs and install doors and windows.
Conduct preventative maintenance on commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, and emergency exit devices.
Manage multiple projects and work effectively under time and other constraints.
Work professionally both as part of a team and independently.
Pay close attention to detail and adhere to processes.
Provide customer-oriented service.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
