About The Position

Piedmont Door Solutions is seeking an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician for its Greensboro, NC branch. This role involves repairing, maintaining, and installing doors in various commercial settings such as buildings, hospitals, and stores. The company is looking for individuals with a background in skilled trades like residential or commercial doors, garage doors, construction, military, electrical work, fabrication, access control, glazing, carpentry, or mechanical work. Piedmont Door Solutions offers comprehensive training, tools, equipment, and vehicles for this position.

Requirements

Automatic door or similar experience.
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
Problem solving and diagnostic skills.
Familiarity with power and hand tools.
Must possess an unrestricted and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or GED.
Comfortable using power tools and hand tools.
Ability to stand, bend, and/or climb for long periods of time in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
Ability to work at heights/use a ladder.
Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
Clean criminal and motor vehicle record.
Yearly flu shots and TB tests are required.

Nice To Haves

Preference for having worked with carpentry, electric, military, HVAC, or similar.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products.
Proactively assist in projects, demonstrating autonomy in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment.
Learn new techniques, build on existing skills, and show a desire to grow.
Ensure a clean, organized, and professional worksite, paying attention to detail, taking pride in workmanship, and solving problems for customers.
Order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.
