About The Position

The Automated Warehouse Technician is responsible for keeping laser-guided vehicle (LGV) operations running smoothly and efficiently. The role addresses and corrects LGV machine faults, prepares trailers for LGV loading, keeps end-of-line equipment operating, maintains clean equipment and work areas, and ensures the integrity of product-inventory data moved by LGVs. The position works in a fast-paced manufacturing production-line environment and may require overtime to complete assigned tasks. No supervisory responsibilities are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience performing light preventative maintenance, machine changeovers, production equipment operation, and LGV or AGV operation.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to think analytically.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative.
• Ability to learn and follow established procedures without deviation.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing production-line environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work the hours necessary to complete assigned tasks and overtime as needed.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Address alarms and faults from LGVs and end-of-line equipment, including palletizers, pallet labelers, and injection molding machines.
• Prepare and approve trailers for automatic product loading by LGVs; verify trailer paperwork and data, and secure loads.
• Conduct light general and preventative maintenance to keep LGVs operating properly.
• Assist with back-of-line changeovers and ensure products are not mixed and are properly labeled.
• Keep LGVs, units, and work areas clean.
• Maintain the data integrity of product inventory moved by LGVs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
