About The Position

Sunayu, LLC is looking for a Test Engineer to work with User Services, Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Architects to support key tasks such as designing test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements, design documents, and specifications for testing across different platforms with an emphasis on manual testing. The role involves automating test cases using Selenium WebDriver, estimating test case writing and execution effort, and tracking progress. Responsibilities include test case authoring, conducting test case reviews with stakeholders, executing functional, smoke, regression, and integration tests, and reporting, tracking, validating, and closing defects. The engineer will record and report test results, participate in daily scrum meetings, and contribute to system design sessions to provide input on the testability of new features. The role also involves supporting processes by tracking and gathering metrics on all testing activities, participating in risk management assessments and software/hardware development phases with an emphasis on user requirements analysis, test design, and test tools selection. Utilizing metrics in quantitative project management to identify areas for improvement and providing innovative solutions for more efficient testing strategies are also key aspects of this position. The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm and initiative, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse disciplines and varying technical experience levels.

Requirements

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development, release management, or operations management or related field.
Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
Experience with Selenium WebDriver
Experience with Git or similar software
Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile-Scrum development methodology
Experience with API and endpoint testing
Experience with Continuous Integration pipeline
Experience in drafting test plans and test cases
Experience in using test management tools
Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
Ability to work well/collaborate with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience as well as working within a team environment
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with both Automated and Manual testing techniques
Experience with big data applications
Technical degree and/or certifications
Experience with Elastic Search and experience with writing and executing backend tests using Kibana
Scaled Agile Framework certification (SAFe Agilist or other)
Familiarity with GitFlow development model

Responsibilities
