About The Position

Pinchin Ltd. is currently recruiting a 4 month Co-op placement for a student to join Pinchin’s Hamilton office as an AutoCAD Technician for the Spring 2026 term. The AutoCAD student will prepare drawings for the Hazardous Materials Group and will work part time (3-4 days per week, up to 30 hours per week). This is an ideal position for any student looking for practical, hands-on experience to complement their academic program. As a valued member of our team you will do exciting, challenging work, solve real environmental problems, and make a meaningful impact. You will learn about the business and build your own professional network by working closely with senior professionals in the industry.

Requirements

  • Experience with AutoCAD Light 2014
  • Experience preparing detailed drawings; Students will not go out to draw the building, but will be preparing the drawing from existing drawings or hand sketches
  • Vehicle and valid driver's license required
  • Excellent communications skills, flexibility to meet client schedules and a willingness to learn new skills are essential

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-office support to staff by completing AutoCAD drawings to be included in client reports
  • Provide field support for Project Technologists, including note taking, sampling and other job-related responsibilities
