Requirements

  • Proven experience as an AutoCAD Technician or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of construction terminology, materials, and methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree in drafting, CAD technology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as Revit or SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and software.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations applicable to construction projects in the United States.
  • Certification from recognized professional organizations such as the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA).
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams on large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure drawings meet design intent and regulatory standards.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical documents to produce accurate digital representations.
  • Maintain and organize drawing files and documentation to ensure version control and accessibility for project stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving design discrepancies or conflicts prior to construction to reduce rework and delays.
