About The Position

This position involves joining metal parts to form a permanent bond using specialized equipment. The operator will work under direct supervision, handle basic issues, and possess a foundational knowledge of welding. This role requires 0-2 years of experience and the ability to interpret work instructions, follow directions, and possess basic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components and parts using specialized equipment such as gas welders, gas torches and hand tools
• Use electrical currents to create heat and bond metals
• Plan work by interpreting blueprints, technical procedures and templates
• Observe tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications
• Move fixtures and equipment as required to accomplish various jobs
• Complete all documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
