About The Position
MEI Auto Finance is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Underwriter for its Verifications Department in Arlington, Texas. The role analyzes and verifies subprime credit applications from eight independent dealerships, ensuring accuracy and supporting dealer personnel and customers. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with annual compensation of $65,000 plus monthly commissions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort managing high-volume phone work and using computer systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to stay focused and productive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Ability to pass a background check.

- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify documents provided by customers.
- Record and track application deficiencies in the application system.
- Analyze credit applications and credit bureau reports.
- Make outbound calls to complete employment, residency, and other verifications.
- Provide excellent customer service to dealers and consumers.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Stay organized and detail-oriented while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
