About The Position

The Auto Underwriter, Senior buyer is a dealer representative that partners with automotive dealerships to deliver financing solutions that help customers move forward. This role combines relationship management, credit decision-making, negotiation, and business development in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role comes from building strong partnerships, communicating effectively, making confident decisions, and delivering solutions that create value for both customers and dealership partners.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence in making decisions and exercising sound judgment
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and influence positive outcomes
  • Customer-focused with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

  • Experience in sales, customer service, relationship management, financial services, banking, automotive, or other customer-facing roles

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealership partners in an assigned market
  • Communicate regularly with dealerships to provide exceptional service and identify opportunities for growth
  • Review and evaluate financing applications, making sound credit decisions within established guidelines
  • Negotiate and secure approved business while delivering a positive partner experience
  • Analyze customer credit and financial information to assess creditworthiness and identify potential fraud risks
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, underwriting standards, and applicable regulations
  • Utilize performance metrics and market insights to improve results and drive business growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed
