About The Position
Bergstrom Lexus of Appleton is seeking an experienced Auto Technician to join their team. As Wisconsin's largest dealership, Bergstrom Automotive is committed to providing exceptional guest experiences and fostering growth for its team members. This role involves performing advanced diagnostic and repair work on various vehicle systems, ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer specifications, and collaborating with service advisors. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering outstanding service and advancing their career in a dynamic environment. The position also includes mentoring entry-level technicians.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified automotive technician.
- ASE certification or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with factory diagnostic tools and repair systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced technical training.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturer-specific certifications strongly preferred.
- Lexus or Toyota brands strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostic and repair work, including engine, transmission, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure vehicles meet manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize factory diagnostic tools, equipment, and resources to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with service advisors to communicate repair needs and timelines to guests.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and manufacturer training.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Mentor entry-level technicians to support their skill development and contribute to a team-oriented culture.
