About The Position

The University Auto Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the University auto fleet (40+), and heavy equipment, which includes preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance. This position reports to the Grounds Manager and will assistant the Auto Mechanic in general equipment maintenance and care, shop and inventory organization, driving for parts pick up, taking vehicles to DEQ , etc.

Requirements

• Ability to think through and solve problems in real-time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive University vehicles on campus.
• Must consent to a driving record background check.
• Ability to learn and abide by safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical aptitude and interest.
• Previous experience with basic vehicle or motorized equipment maintenance.
• Previous experience using basic hand tools.

Responsibilities
