About The Position

The Auto Parts Store Delivery Driver is a non-CDL, part-time role primarily responsible for prioritizing deliveries, reviewing orders for completeness, and maintaining a clean driving record while following company policy. Deliveries focus on automotive replacement parts and may include heavy-duty parts, automotive and industrial paint, and body shop supplies and equipment from Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts retail locations. The position also supports store operations by handling customer transactions and inquiries, checking in and stocking freight, assisting with inventory, and maintaining a clean facility. This is a safety-sensitive position involving heavy equipment, moving conveyors, and hazardous material. Employment is subject to post-offer, pre-employment drug testing.

Requirements

High school diploma, equivalent experience, or motivation to pursue a GED.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; a Class E license is required for Missouri locations.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic and compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Basic computer knowledge, including web browsing and Microsoft Office.
Ability to perform the essential duties, including the stated physical demands, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service by assessing customer needs, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Follow road rules and laws for safe vehicle operation.
Determine delivery priorities and the most timely, efficient route when not directed by a manager or counterperson.
Receive and process orders and other documents, reviewing them for completeness and clarity before delivery.
Maintain a clean, well-running delivery vehicle through routine maintenance and inspections.
Safely drive in different weather and traffic conditions.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Check in freight, stock, and retrieve parts.
Handle cash and credit transactions.
Help answer telephone calls and assist customers in the store.
Work store inventory or assist with inventory at another location if assigned.
Maintain a clean facility inside and outside, including sweeping, mopping, removing trash, straightening and dusting shelves, and rearranging stock.
Adhere to scheduled work time unless authorized by a manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
