About The Position

Parts Authority is a national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools, equipment, and transmissions, with over 300 locations. The Auto Parts Counter Professional is responsible for inside sales activity within a store and reports directly to the Store Manager. The role focuses on building lasting customer relationships, providing professional service and support, and closing sales to achieve goals. The position serves customers across sectors including installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of counter sales experience in a competitive market.
• Exceptional phone skills, with a positive, enthusiastic, and attentive tone.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for exceptional customer service and exceeding sales goals.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships.
• Focus on results, sales production, closing, and growth.
• Experience with POS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently to accomplish objectives.
• Outgoing, assertive, proactive, positive, and tenacious approach to pursuing goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive, long-lasting relationships with existing customers.
• Close sales to achieve goals and drive growth.
• Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Learn about customers and understand their needs.
• Locate hard-to-find parts and negotiate with vendors for the best deals.
• Provide accurate quotes and follow up with customers to ensure orders are placed.
• Track lost sales and promote company specials.
• Assist colleagues when needed and foster new sales opportunities.
• Fulfill customer orders for installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
