About The Position

Caliber Collision is hiring an Auto Painter Helper to prepare vehicles for painting in coordination with an Auto Painter and support an efficient workflow. Duties may include sanding and buffing, and maintaining the paint booth and workspace. Helpers are expected to repair vehicles thoroughly, safely, and profitably in accordance with Caliber and OEM standards using state-of-the-art equipment. The position is based at the Service Center South San Diego and offers $18–$20 per hour.

The role provides hands-on experience in a production shop and opportunities for career growth, including advancement from within. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictions. Caliber uses E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of new hires.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under Caliber's insurance policy.
• Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous collision experience.
• Collision Vo-Tech certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting in cooperation with the Auto Painter to ensure efficient workflow.
