About The Position

You’ll perform light duty work as an intermediate-level auto tech. You’ll improve your skills in a supportive environment. Other responsibilities include: Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices. Perform auto maintenance tech duties, including oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flush, spark plugs and vehicle inspection. Perform battery testing, maintenance and replacement and testing and repairing of starting and charging electrical systems. Perform various repairs including tires, safety inspections and interior/exterior components. Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension systems. Perform an evacuation and recharge on the AC system. Perform maintenance on equipment. Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts. May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment. Complies with applicable procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposable trash.

Requirements

  • Must work at a specified Cox location
  • Clear a pre-employment drug test
  • Possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
  • No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.
