Auto Glass Technician
About The Position
The Glass Doctor of North Texas is expanding its technician team and is looking for individuals who take pride in clean installations, correct calibrations, and professional service. This role offers consistent work, proper tools, respect for the craft, and fair pay. The position involves replacing and installing OEM auto glass, performing ADAS calibrations, diagnosing and resolving camera, radar, and sensor alignment issues, and adhering to OEM repair procedures and safety standards. Technicians are expected to protect customer vehicles, communicate effectively with dispatch and customers, and maintain an organized work van and workspace. The role involves completing 5-7 quality jobs per day, with a mix of mobile and shop work.
Requirements
- 2+ years professional auto glass installation experience (1+ year considered for strong candidates)
- Experience with ADAS calibrations (static & dynamic)
- Strong knowledge of urethane systems, trim removal, and R&R techniques
- Comfort using tablets, apps, and calibration software
- A professional appearance & customer-first mindset
- Valid driver’s license. Must pass background check and MVR/driving eligibility
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors
Responsibilities
- Replace and install OEM windshields, side glass, back glass, and moldings with elite attention to detail
- Perform static & dynamic ADAS calibrations using Autel or OEM-approved systems
- Diagnose and resolve camera, radar, and sensor alignment issues
- Follow OEM repair procedures, safety standards, and documentation requirements
- Protect customer vehicles using proper covers, tools, and materials
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers, demonstrating a here-to-serve mindset
- Maintain a clean, organized van and workspace
- Complete 5–7 quality jobs per day (mobile & shop mix)
