Onsite Auto/ Diesel Mechanic - Texas City, TX

The company is seeking experienced Auto/ Diesel Equipment Mechanics for long-term nested maintenance at a site in the Texas City, TX area. The role involves working on heavy equipment, gas/diesel engines, and hydraulic systems, as well as smaller equipment like golf carts and tractors. A TWIC card is required. This position offers regular 40+ hours per week with overtime paid at time-and-a-half, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and a 401k with employer match from day one.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 5+ years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair
- TWIC Card
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Current resident in the Houston metro area
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary certificate or degree in engineering OR training as a mechanic is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
- Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
- Complete shop paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
