About The Position

Warrior Insurance Network is seeking an experienced Casualty Claims Supervisor to join their growing company. This role involves the direct supervision of the Casualty Claims unit, ensuring compliance with state-mandated claims handling guidelines, and overseeing the proper investigation and conclusion of claims. The position requires monitoring production, staff development, and the quality of files within the unit. This is a hybrid position after training, and local candidates are preferred for either the Bedford Park or Oak Brook locations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years auto liability claims and/or supervisory experience
  • Strong technical and administrative background in auto claims handling
  • Ability to work independently on technical and administrative matters in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Good leadership, training and development skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claim
  • Hybrid position (after training is complete)

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years managing litigated personal auto files
  • Non-Standard Auto Claims experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and provide direction to the Casualty Unit staff members.
  • Conduct file and diary reviews to monitor adjuster work, ensuring appropriate investigation, documentation, fair claim settlement practices, and adherence to company quality standards.
  • Place appropriate authority level on claim files based on investigation and approve settlement checks within authority.
  • Review reports, design, and support the implementation of procedures to improve claim settlement and customer service, while maintaining desired quality and quantity levels.
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of procedures for effectiveness and compliance.
  • Determine training needs of the department and establish/participate in programs to meet personnel and process training requirements.
  • Work with staff on suits drawn on cases regarding litigation handling.
  • Develop and manage a cost-effective defense strategy.
  • Identify systems issues, problems, and suggestions for enhancements.
  • Manage administrative functions of the unit, including reviewing, directing, and assigning new losses, screening and selecting candidates, setting performance objectives, monitoring performance, conducting performance appraisals, and completing necessary reports.
  • Daily review of files for payment approvals over adjuster authority and transfer of files to appropriate areas (SIU, Litigation, Total Loss, Subrogation, etc.).
  • Conduct unit meetings.
  • Review and respond to Department of Insurance complaints.
  • Review and direct claim activity on customer inquiries.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
