About The Position
Haley Toyota of Roanoke is seeking a Body Shop Clerk to perform a wide range of administrative and office support duties. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing repair estimates, coordinating with insurance companies, and handling accounts receivable for body repair work. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in auto body repair or estimating.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and parts.
- Experience with estimating software and tools.
- Previous customer service experience in the automotive industry.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Fluent English speaking and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Professional dress, speech, and behavior
Nice To Haves
- Some post secondary education (degree, coursework, or certification)
- Three years of experience in a similar position
Responsibilities
- Provide first-rate customer service greeting customers and answering phones
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs and costs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repairs, including parts and labor.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the repair process and answer any questions.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure all necessary repairs are identified and included in the estimate.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to provide necessary documentation and facilitate claims processing.
- Process accounts receivable for body repair work
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Filing and other office duties
- Assist Body Shop Manager with various duties
