About The Position

Hendrick Collision is hiring a PDR Tech! This is a full-time position at a very busy, air-conditioned, state-of-the-art facility, equipped with the best tools to ensure efficient and proper repairs. We are looking for someone who wants to work for a team that values proper car repair and appreciates its employees. Requirements

  • Demonstrable knowledge of body repair methods
  • Collision Center repair training or commensurate experience
  • Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform Collision Center repair functions
  • Previous experience in Collision Center Paint
  • Ability to operate equipment to perform painting functions
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of desired work experience in Automotive
  • Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Examines body damage on customer vehicles
  • Identifies necessary body repair work
  • Estimates cost of body work
  • Requests necessary parts
  • Performs body repairs including removing damaged body parts and replacing with fixed or new parts
  • Documents repairs performed
  • Performs body repairs efficiently and according to Collision Center and insurance company guidelines
  • Applies paint to vehicle parts after repair work is complete
  • Covers vehicle parts that do not require painting
  • Buffs or cleans surfaces after paint dries
  • Requests necessary materials
  • Performs paint jobs efficiently and according to Collision Center guidelines
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Participates in required training
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
  • Other duties as assigned
