ROCK is seeking an Autism Therapist Level 1 to join their team. This role involves designing and implementing behavior programs using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to enhance clients' quality of life. The therapist will work directly with families in various environments (virtual, center, home, community) under the supervision of a Manager of Autism and Behaviour Services and a Clinical Supervisor (Registered Behaviour Analyst). Responsibilities include data collection, documentation, preliminary data analysis, training others using the BST model, and collaborating with Peer Support Providers. The position focuses on providing support and supervised intervention to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Dual Diagnosis, utilizing Progressive Applied Behaviour Analysis approaches and Neuro-affirming care practices. Interventions will cover areas such as communication, social skills, daily living skills, behavior management, play, and vocational skills. The therapist will participate in individualized and group interventions, potentially collaborate with other disciplines, and maintain a flexible schedule to meet client needs. Client safety and adherence to ROCK's principles are paramount.
