About The Position

The Bradley School is a licensed private academy educating students who present with special education needs. These students may have learning, emotional and/or behavioral challenges and struggle to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. The Bradley School offers each student a different kind of academic experience and a renewed chance at success. In addition, our classrooms include state-of-the-art resources that are specifically designed to serve the needs of the students. We are looking for an Autism Support Teacher who is motivated, compassionate and has a calling and passion for helping children. We are looking for someone with initiative, creativity and a desire to have a positive impact on a child’s life.

Requirements

  • Current PA Department of Education Certification in Special Education required (K-12 preferred)
  • Minimum of six months experience working with youth in a special education or psychiatric setting required
  • Initiative
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Patience and creativity while working with residents at their own pace
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor, sound judgment, dependability, and a strong work ethicic

Nice To Haves

  • Autism certification or endorsement or ABA degree preferred
