About The Position

The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Consultant Senior is responsible for planning, development, organization and delivery of ASD services within the framework of the interdisciplinary team. The ASD Consultant Senior provides coaching, mentoring and guidance to staff, ASD Support Workers, Education Staff and Community Partners.

Requirements

  • Two years experience working with children with ASD
  • A Baccalaureate/Masters degree in OT, PT, or Speech Language Pathology
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Training in Applied Behavioral Analysis
  • Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder and treatment
  • Training in normal and abnormal child development
  • Leadership skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to perceive and analyze problems and effect innovative solutions
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well as a team member & mentor, strong leadership & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, independent judgment & organizational skills
  • Ability to establish/maintain satisfactory working relationships
  • Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
  • Decision making through the application of clinical, legal & ethical practice
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Registered/eligible with SK Assoc. of SLPs and Audiologists (SASLPA)
  • Registered/eligible with Canadian Assoc. of SLPs and Audiologists (CASLPA)

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement

Responsibilities
