Autism Behavior Technician
About The Position
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as an Autism Behavior Technician (BT). This role is described as a calling, focusing on providing compassionate and patient support to children with autism. Requirements
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliability, including showing up for scheduled hours and managing administrative tasks.
- Resilience and compassion.
- Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment.
- Physical readiness for the role: pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed.
Nice To Haves
- Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services.
- Experience with children is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work 1:1 with children ages 18 months to 6 years who have a diagnosis of autism, in a center-based environment.
- Deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), following individualized treatment plans.
- Build skills through play, connection, and creating a safe environment for children to try new things.
- Track progress and document sessions using ABA technology.
- Create a safe, positive environment for every child.
- Prepare for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification exam within the first 45 days of employment.
