About The Position

Autism Academic Coaches work with students enrolled in the Autism Support Program and provide help with academics, executive functioning skills, social skills, and pre-employment skills. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Current and continuing University of Arkansas graduate students
  • Demonstrate excellent academic and social skills
  • Skilled in interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Skilled in-person meetings
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback
  • Ability and interest to work with students who have autism
  • Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide help with academics, executive functioning skills, social skills, and pre-employment skills for students enrolled in the Autism Support Program.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance.
  • Create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
