About The Position

UBS Business Solutions US LLC is seeking an Authorized Officer, Quant Modelling Specialist in New York, NY. This role is for an innovative thinker who is focused on details, even under pressure, and enjoys delivering enhanced change capabilities across a range of business functions. The specialist will develop complex quantitative models for forecasting revenue, expense, and balance sheets, partnering with global lines of business to solve complex business problems using analytical modelling approaches and providing meaningful insights to business heads. The role also involves data processing and management, including data manipulation and data mining using various statistical methods. Analysis and transformation of financial data, along with statistical and econometric analysis, will be conducted to identify important factors for model development. The specialist will write and coordinate model documentation for auditing purposes and future work, leveraging knowledge in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, Python Programming language, and other analytical software packages and tools to design, enhance, and implement Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) Models. The position allows for hybrid work (In-office/remote).

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Financial Engineering, Finance, or related field of study.
  • Knowledge of Econometrics; financial risk identification
  • Knowledge of derivatives pricing; stochastic calculus
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques; linear regression; presenting quantitative concepts
  • Knowledge may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex quantitative models for forecasting revenue, expense and balance sheets.
  • Partner with different lines of business globally within the bank to solve complex business problems using analytical modelling approaches and provide meaningful insights to the business heads.
  • Participate in data processing and data management, which includes data manipulation and data mining using various statistical methods including Outlier Detection, Variable Clustering, Variable Reduction, and Variable Selection.
  • Analyze and transform financial data, conduct statistical and econometric analysis to determine the important factors considered for model development.
  • Write and coordinate model documentation covering end-to-end model process for auditing purposes and future work.
  • Leverage knowledge in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, Python Programming language, and other analytical software packages and tools to design, enhance and implement Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) Models.
