Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
At least 1-2 years of experience in medical authorizations, healthcare administration, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of insurance plans, medical terminology, and healthcare authorization processes.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and authorization management software.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The Authorizations Specialist utilizes strong communication skills daily to interact effectively with healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and patients, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all exchanges.

Nice To Haves
