About The Position
Concordia is seeking a dedicated Authorization Specialist to manage insurance authorizations for their high-volume home health agencies and hospice agencies. In this fast-paced role, the Authorization Specialist will be responsible for obtaining prior and subsequent authorizations for services from various payers, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service delivery. Requirements
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills
- Detail-Oriented
- Strong Keyboarding Skills
- Ability to Work Independently
- Experience with health insurance processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience using Excel is required.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with medical terminology is recommended
Responsibilities
- Engage with payer sources to discuss clinical documentation and secure necessary authorizations.
- Collaborate with clinicians to gather clinical documentation required for authorization.
- Maintain accurate records and tracking of all authorizations.
- Conduct daily reviews of relevant reports.
