About The Position

A&B Home Care Solutions - CT, a Modivcare Personal Care Service, is looking for an Authorizations Coordinator II. You will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure timely authorizations and help deliver seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of insurance, billing, book-keeping, claims processing, or related field experience
  • Experience in a home care or home health setting
  • Experience working with Medicaid in Connecticut required

Responsibilities

  • Handle medical service authorizations from start to finish
  • Verify insurance coverage and determine what’s needed for approval
  • Work with insurance companies to secure and confirm authorizations
  • Review complex or specialized cases and identify requirements
  • Keep accurate, organized records of requests and approvals
  • Check patient eligibility regularly with insurance providers
  • Spot and resolve issues or delays in the authorization process
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure timely patient care
  • Look for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • Support additional projects as needed
