About The Position

Join the team at True Precision Medical. We are growing and looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Authorization & Referral Coordinator to join our Scottsdale office full time. This role is essential to helping patients move smoothly through their care journey by managing insurance authorizations, referrals, documentation, and communication between providers, patients, and insurance companies. We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, compassionate with patients, and able to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment where details truly matter.

Requirements

Previous experience in medical authorizations, referrals, insurance verification, or medical front office coordination
Strong understanding of commercial insurance, Medicare, and authorization processes
Experience working in a specialty clinic preferred
Familiarity with EMR systems (eCW experience is a plus)
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude

Responsibilities

Submit and track insurance authorizations for procedures, imaging, consultations, and treatments
Verify insurance benefits and referral requirements
Follow up on pending authorizations, denials, and requests for additional information
Communicate with insurance companies, referring offices, providers, and patients
Ensure documentation supports medical necessity requirements
Upload and organize records in the EMR
Monitor work queues, action items, and authorization statuses
Coordinate with clinical and scheduling teams to avoid delays in patient care
Assist with referral intake and obtaining outside medical records
Document all communication thoroughly and accurately
Help identify workflow improvements and process gaps
