About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Authorization Specialist to manage the authorization process for medical services, ensure compliance with regulations, and facilitate communication between healthcare providers and insurance companies. This role helps ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care. The position reviews and processes authorization requests, maintains accurate records, follows up on pending authorizations, and provides guidance to healthcare providers about authorization requirements. It also requires keeping up to date with changes in insurance policies and regulations. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Additional education in healthcare administration or a related field.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in authorization or billing.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
