About The Position
At Greenbrook, we're committed to helping patients access innovative mental health treatments, including TMS and Spravato®. As an Authorization Specialist, you'll play a critical role in securing insurance approvals and removing barriers to care, ensuring patients can start and continue treatment without interruption.
Requirements
- Experience with prior authorizations, insurance verification, medical billing, or related healthcare operations.
- Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payer requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AdvancedMD, Salesforce, and Availity preferred.
- TMS, Spravato®, or specialty behavioral health authorization experience.
- Familiarity with REMS and Spravato® With Me programs.
- Knowledge of specialty pharmacy or Buy & Bill workflows.
Responsibilities
- Manage prior authorizations, referrals, appeals, extensions, and reauthorizations from submission through approval.
- Review clinical documentation to ensure submissions meet payer and medical necessity requirements.
- Follow up with insurance carriers to monitor status and resolve authorization issues.
- Coordinate peer reviews, appeals, referrals, and medication access workflows.
- Maintain accurate documentation across EHR, CRM, and related systems.
- Partner with Case Managers and clinical teams to support timely patient care.
